Don't
forget there are other moving costs to consider including legal disbursements, removal costs and Stamp Duty.
Stamp Duty is a tax paid when you purchase
a property. If you buy a property over £125,000
but under £250,000 you will pay 1% of the total purchase price in
Stamp Duty. (True First Time Buyers do not have to pay any stamp duty up to a purchase price of £250,000)
Purchases made between £250,000 and £500,000 pay 3%, and purchases over £500,000 increases to 4%
of the total purchase price. A charge of 5% will be made on properties valued
over £1,000,000 from April 2011
